We have long been committed to stable procurement of raw materials and green procurement, including environmental conservation and chemical substance management, to ensure a stable supply of products with due consideration for product safety and quality. In response to the recent growing social demands for consideration of the global environment and protection of human rights and labor environment, we have formulated our Sustainable Procurement Policy to further promote procurement activities that aim to realize a sustainable society throughout our supply chain.

●In our procurement activities, we comply with the laws and social norms of each country and region, and respect the environment, culture,
　 customs, etc.
　In addition, confidential and personal information obtained through transactions will be properly managed and protected.
●We will provide fair business opportunities to all suppliers by disseminating information on procurement in a timely and appropriate manner, and
　will work to build a cooperative framework and a relationship of trust.
●We will conduct procurement activities based not only on quality, price, delivery date, and stable supply, but also on comprehensive consideration
　of technical capabilities, proposal capabilities, and management stability.
●In order to realize a sustainable society, our group responds to social issues such as human rights, labor environment, and conflict minerals through
　our supply chain, We will engage in procurement activities that take the global environment into consideration.

We believe that collaboration with our suppliers is crucial to addressing social issues involving human rights, labor environment and conflict minerals as well as to carrying out eco-friendly procurement. This document outlines the "Sustainable Procurement Guidelines" which detail our commitment to fostering a sustainable society across the entire supply chain.
These guidelines cover five key areas: corporate governance, human rights and labor, environment, quality and safety, and community engagement. Each section provides specific action guidelines aimed at promoting sustainable practices. We publish the guidelines along with our sustainable procurement policy, on our company website. We also inform suppliers about them through the supplier CSR survey. We aim for their understanding and encourage them to actively engage in these practices.

1. Corporate Governance

●We establish and execute a system to promote initiatives that contribute to a sustainable future for both the environment and society. We also strive to raise awareness of sustainable procurement practices among our suppliers to ensure the widespread adoption throughout the supply chain.

●We adhere to all relevant laws and social norms while respecting third-party intellectual property rights (patents, copyrights, trademarks, etc.). We ensure the proper management and protection of confidential information and personal data obtained through transactions. We actively prevent unfair competition and corruption including bribery. We also ensure supply chain transparency to prevent involvement in the procurement of conflict minerals or criminal activities, and carry out fair and appropriate transactions.

●We develop business continuity plans to minimize the impact of disasters or accidents on our core operations, and we implement systems for rapid recovery.

●We acknowledge our responsibility to account to society and stakeholders and maintain transparency both internally and externally. We appropriately disclose financial and non-financial information.

 

2. Human Rights and Labor

●We respect and protect human rights throughout the entire supply chain.

●We prohibit and eliminate inhumane labor practices such as forced labor and child labor. We eliminate discrimination in employment and occupations, as well as discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, language, gender, age, disability, sense of values, culture, religion, personality, experience, sexual orientation, gender identity, health, family, social status, education, or job history.

●We strive to prevent or mitigate any human rights violations that may arise directly or indirectly from our business activities.

●We foster a workplace where diverse talents are valued. We strive to create an environment that promotes human rights awareness such as "eliminating unconscious bias," "promoting diversity and inclusion," and "preventing all forms of harassment."

 

3. Environment

●From product development to disposal, we prioritize safety, protect environment and health, and conduct business activities in harmony with the planet.

●We comply with all environmental and safety regulations, promote CO₂ reduction, resource and energy conservation, industrial waste reduction, proper chemical management, and biodiversity conservation. We set voluntary targets to reduce environmental impact.

 

4. Quality and Safety

●We provide products and services that comply with relevant laws and regulations of each country, and societal expectations, meet the required quality standards, and ensure customer satisfaction and trust.

●In the event of product or service-related accidents or the distribution of defective products, we promptly disclose the necessary information, report to relevant authorities, recall the products and take safety measures for customers.

 

5. Community Engagement

●We comply with laws and social norms in the countries and regions where we operate, respecting the environment, culture and customs of the local communities. We strive to contribute to the sustainable development of local communities through our activities.
