While embodying sustainability throughout the value chain, we are particularly focused on sustainable sourcing of gum rosin.
Rosin is a renewable resource that supports the livelihoods of pine and resin miners around the world and is used in a wide range of applications, including resins for printing inks, paper sizing agents, and adhesives and bonding agents. In the procurement of rosin, we are also working to improve traceability and transparency in the pine and rosin supply chain, including on-site inspections of procurement sites in China, South America, and Southeast Asia to ensure the sustainability of pine resources and eliminate the risk of forced labor and child labor.

We believe that collaboration with our suppliers is crucial to addressing social issues involving human rights, labor environment and conflict minerals as well as to carrying out eco-friendly procurement.
This document outlines the "Sustainable Procurement Guidelines" which detail our commitment to fostering a sustainable society across the entire supply chain.
1. Corporate Governance
●We establish and execute a system to promote initiatives that contribute to a sustainable future for both the environment and society. We also strive to raise awareness of sustainable procurement practices among our suppliers to ensure the widespread adoption throughout the supply chain.
●We adhere to all relevant laws and social norms while respecting third-party intellectual property rights (patents, copyrights, trademarks, etc.). We ensure the proper management and protection of confidential information and personal data obtained through transactions. We actively prevent unfair competition and corruption including bribery. We also ensure supply chain transparency to prevent involvement in the procurement of conflict minerals or criminal activities, and carry out fair and appropriate transactions.
●We develop business continuity plans to minimize the impact of disasters or accidents on our core operations, and we implement systems for rapid recovery.

2. Human Rights and Labor

●We prohibit and eliminate inhumane labor practices such as forced labor and child labor. We eliminate discrimination in employment and occupations, as well as discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, language, gender, age, disability, sense of values, culture, religion, personality, experience, sexual orientation, gender identity, health, family, social status, education, or job history.

●In the event of product or service-related accidents or the distribution of defective products, we promptly disclose the necessary information, report to relevant authorities, recall the products and take safety measures for customers.

●We comply with laws and social norms in the countries and regions where we operate, respecting the environment, culture and customs of the local communities. We strive to contribute to the sustainable development of local communities through our activities.
Sustainable Procurement Guidelines: A Commitment to a Sustainable Future
These guidelines cover five key areas: corporate governance, human rights and labor, environment, quality and safety, and community engagement. Each section provides specific action guidelines aimed at promoting sustainable practices. We publish the guidelines along with our sustainable procurement policy, on our company website. We also inform suppliers about them through the supplier CSR survey. We aim for their understanding and encourage them to actively engage in these practices.
